There was a line but it didn't take long. I wonder how many of the customers are from this board?

They were out of sprinkle donuts with no eta on a new batch right as we pulled up to the counter. Yes - 6 yr old that is all she wanted too. We will be back later today for ice cream. The place was packed at 8:30 but they did a good job keeping the line moving. Coffee and donuts were good (I didn't have the same problem as the 6 yr. old).

Sunny - there was a sign that their products may contain peanuts or something to the effect that machines used process peanut poducts. The sign was on the counter.

they were turnin' and churnin' this morning- fresh hot donuts pouring out of that kitchen, and energetic, smiling employees taming the corwds. they greeted the children directly which was a nice touch. fresh hot coffee too- they were packed but doing a wonderful job.

loved seeing all the bikes and all the walkers pouring in- they coudldn't have ordered better weather!i hope they will have outdoor seating- that would be the sprinle on the donut!

    welcome to the 'hood.

Even though the line was long, it moved pretty fast. We got our order pretty fast and with no errors.

Glad to see the neighbourhood turn out for this. :)

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my occational DD...but it shows the society we live in when the DD thread is THIRD all time in terms of posts on a single subject! Maybe they ought to put up a certificate in the new store...

Nice to see you, too, Redon!

We high-tailed it out of there when we saw the line. We were just stopping for coffee--okay, maybe T8ertot was in for a sprinkle donut.

Along with Phitness, I made a few societal observations at the DD:

    1. Lots of people rode their bikes there.
    2. Almost NOBODY there was overweight (except us!)
    3. I now have an idea who the non-Sunday morning church-goers are! It made me feel so much less alone! :)

    2. yep that's us as well, but not for long!

    3. Yep well we did go until it became "give us money" all the time.

I am a preacher's daughter and feel very strongly about this. I have left several churches because of this very thing but am very happy where I am now.

And I go early so I can enjoy the donuts whilst everyone else is "supposed" to be there.

i almost didn't make it for opening day coffee....but i couldn't resist. They are obviously ironing out kinks...but i'm not in any hurry--so why do i care if it takes them a minute or two to show the new employees how to ring up my 2lbs of whole beans??? Kudos for opening day!!! See ya in the morning!
