As for the extra toppings/cherries, I did not request them, and neither did my wife... Was she thinking of a different customer? As for the workers, I completely understand about all the liability stuff...

My first job was at a mcDonalds, and the shake machine broke every few days, even though it was new. You can never trust teh new stuff!

I'll second that. I was there in the morning during the week. Wasn't super busy and ALL the tables were dirty. If you are going to offer tables, keep them clean. If not, just make it "to go" only.

I have been there 4 times now, at various times of the day. Each time, the trash cans (inside and out) have been full, and the counter where you can get extra napkins, sugars, etc... has been filthy. Twice there were no napkins.

I'm willing to deal with it one or two more visits, because your coffee is the best. Until there is a cleanliness improvement, there's no way I will purchase food. If the front of the house is any indication of what the back looks like, it grosses me out.

Jimmy, I applaud your determination to listen to your customers. If it wasn't for that, I'd stop going altogether.

Not to be all doom and gloom, the people working behind the counter have always been courteous and hard working. I'm glad to see you've hired lots of kids from the area.

    Hi there Jimmy,

I went in there today only to find that your Coolada machine was still busted... ANy idea when that will be back up?

A small concern... There were a bunch of little kids there today, and one of your employees used language that kids should not hear... A small reminder to not curse would be great. :)

    Thanks for all you do!

I just wanted to say that I stopped in this morning and was impressed by how clean the dining area was. There was somebody mopping, and all the tables were clean. I only got a few donuts, but the service was great.

    Thanks!

    Hey Jimmy.
I stopped by last night and once I got out of my car, a fly landed on me.
I'm not sure I am going to come back.

Just kidding. I am sure running a new business in your first few months is quite challenging. You all are doing a great job and have been impressed each time I have stopped by.

Yes, when I went in yesterday afternoon, the tables were much cleaner than the last few days.

Wondering if there are any plans to connect the sidewalk path on Waxpool all the way to the sidewalk in front of the DD? There's a short area that has no sidewalk. Thank you for the info.

    Jimmy,

Does your location honor the coupons for Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins from the Washington Post?

    Hey Jimmy,
You may want to change the radio stations (99.5 I believe) that play while you have customers in the store. Yesterday afternoon, while my wife, kids and neighbors kids were there the DJ's were talking about how your "Parents and Grandparents were probably at home right now Knockin' Boots!" and the STD's are on the rise for Senior Citizens. Glad my 5 year old didn't ask me to explain knockin' boots to her.

Just wanted to comment that we've stopped in DD several times already and most of those times it's been busy we've noticed the workers behind the counter doing a great job hustling to take and fill orders. Thank you!
A few days ago, there were 2 families that stood out while we were in line and both had a couple kids. One used a high chair. By the time we were ready to be seated those tables, chairs, high chair and floor were a disaster and the famillies just got up and walked out without any effort at all to tidy anything up or wipe any of the powdered donut stuff or milk and coffee dribbles off the table, chairs or floor and did not even bother to push in the chairs. Could not believe how messy people could be and thoughtless to leave a nasty mess for others esp when there was a line to the door and others hoping to be seated. I kept wondering what kind of pigsty these peope live in at home!?!? Ick! Who wants to sit down at a nasty table with someone else's mess? Now, I do not expect anyone to get on their hands and knees to wipe up the floor and I did hope that once the rush died down the workers might sweep up the floor. But I do not find it unreasonable that grown adults should have the decency and courtesy to at least do a little bit of cleaning up after themselves. That would really make a huge difference especially when the place was busy and there were many others waiting in line to purchase and perhaps be seated to enjoy their food.

    VDB,

I agree, that is so gross and disrespectful. I hope those people are reading this thread. How rude and selfcentered do you have to be to just leave a mess like that. Talk about not giving a crap about anyone else.

Must be nice to be so important. :(

    What a bunch of gits.

Hello??? This is Ashburn-home of rude people with annoying children. Anybody who opens a restaurant here must have a few screws loose :screwy:

DOH! forgot myself for a moment. I forgot that Assburn is full of people who are "too important" for common politeness. Thanks for reminding me. :p

Wow. So you all enjoy tearing down the area you live in? I hate to say this, but if it's so bad and as awful as some of you make it out to be, why are you still here?

Or is this just another case of 'jumping on the bandwagon'...

As someone who has lived here most of his life, I have noticed that manners waned when "Y'ALL" moved here! :)

I think the majority of us Ashburn residents try to be conscientious (including a basic cleanup after our children) but the ones who are rude just stand out more. If 100 people are somewhere you'll probably just remember the 3 obnoxious ones but not the 97 nice ones, you know?
