Ipod stolen and EVERYTHING in the car was rifled through. Car was locked, for sure, but there was no sign of forced entry. There was another car on Laurier that had a GPS stolen.
Between the hours of 9pm and 9am. Our car was in our driveway- I feel it is SO brazen to go on someone's property...I am glad they didn't try to come into our house! My dog would have chomped their private parts anyway if they tried...but maybe doggie can sleep in the car tonight:) (just kidding, i wouldn't put my dog alone in a car overnight)

Sunny - man that just STINKS. Maybe our security patrol should do more monitoring in the SW area.

There have been at least 6 car break-ins on Ridgeway, Red Shale, Laurier, and Gullick over the past 2 nights. One of them was a breaking & entering burglary in a HOME. Please keep everything locked, keep lights on outside where you can, and be aware of your and your neighbor's houses.
I can't believe they came back last night for more (not from my house, but the neighbors). M-er F-ers.

Saw a LCSO's SUV patrolling Ridgeway (with his search lights on) last night at approx. 1am. I'm glad to see they're out and about!

With a set of "Jigglers" selling for about $30.00 with no restrictions, a locked car poses less of a challenge to a snatch and grab car item thief.

I would not leave any high value articles in sight even when my car is parked in my driveway.

And also make sure you don't have any evidence of high value items showing either. An empty GPS holder just tells the thief that they need to check in the storage compartments or under the seat. :(

It really stynks this is happening in our neighbourhood. Of course the best solution is to keep your car locked in your garage.

One of these days I might just be able to park my car in my garage. But then I have only been in the house for 8 years LoL

One of these years I WILL be able to park my car in my garage... :)

I guess storage is a big problem in homes, but being able to park our cars in the garage on a permanent basis was very important to us. Maybe it's because before our single family, we had a townhouse with no garage and we were so happy to get a house with a two car garage, there was no way we would ever store stuff instead of cars in there. We had contractors come and put down floors in our attic, along with pull down stairs and also the same in the garage. It was well worth the $$ to have that done. We still have room for our lawnmower, work bench and garbage toter in our garage and we have one van and a small SUV.
