    Everyone,

I am looking for a good Neurologist locally. I've been going through some medical problems, and the neurologist I am seeing I just don't care much for. Does anyone have any recommendations, maybe someone that is experienced with stroke care and prevention?

I use Hameet Singh near Lansdowne Hospital. His number is 703-858-3700.

Hi Marianne - I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I know you are looking for a local dr/practice, but depending on what you need I would definitely go to Georgetown Dept Neurology, I had wonderful & thorough experiences with the following Dr's:

    Dr. Osbourne - (202) 444-8525
    Dr. Watson - (202) 444-3420
    Dr. Jean - (202) 444-4972

I would ABSOLUTELY stay away from Fairfax Neurology, specifically Dr. Castro who was utterly incompetent.

I second Georgetown. I went to Dr. Henderson, who is no longer practicing there. I also know Dr. Jean too, and Dr. Sandhu. Highly recommend them all.

Can I ask what problems you experienced at Fairfax Neurology? I was there last week to see the Neuro Ophthalmologist, Dr. Kulkarni.

    Fairfax Neuro misdiagnosed my condition.

I went to Georgetown seeking a 2nd opinion and ended up having treatments & surgery to fix the issue that Fairfax Neurology/Dr Castro missed.
