Big shout out to Anothai on being picked by Billy Thai as one of the Top 10 Thai restaurants in the DC area.

The best place I've been to in Virginia is Peking Gourmet in Culmore.
One of the best Chinese restaurants in the DC area. Kind of far though.
About 5 miles east of seven corners on route 7. I cant recommend it enough.

Just watch your back, that place had some gang issues in the past. Probably still do. I do see Fairfax Co Po Po patrolling that area a lot. Been there a long time ago but didn't think it was all that great. Had the duck. Was okay I guess. Maybe I will convince the wife to go soon.

I really never found a "great" chinese, japanese, or thai restaurant in Ashburn since 2000. I think my problem was consistency.

I would put Anothai on my favorite asian food list.

Peking Gourmet Inn does have great food. We think Yen's has the best in this area. My brother-in-law and his family drive out from Falls Church for it.

By the way, no need to watch your back at Peking Gourmet Inn. No gang issues in there.

Went to Cheng's last night for the first time in years - and were reminded why we stopped going. Sugary MSG-heavy sauces and unauthentic dishes garnished up to the hilt in an attempt to look Asian.

About time they had a refresh - the competition is tight. And by the look of all the empty tables other diners agree.

    My two favorite places are:

    Thai Food - Anothai
Vietnamese Food - Pho Bistro (by the ice skating rink)
