I have verizon internet. I have a router in the basement but I want to hook up a slingbox. Can anyone tell me how to do that? My desktop is wired down to the router and the slingbox is near the computer. I have to figure out how to get the slingbox onto the network. I have an additional router I could use, but I'm not sure how to get that onto the nextwork either. Anyone with a suggestion? I'm sure my lack of knowledge is showing....

    Thanks!

put a ethernet switch on the line that feeds your computer and plug the slingbox and computer into that and you should be golden. should cost you no more than $20-$30

I hooked up a switch, but the slingbox still isn't showing up on my network when my home computer tries to find it. Anyone know why that might be?

    thanks

maybe firewall software on your computer --- maybe temporarily disable it to see if that's it...
