I don't know if this is related but maybe the emergency response training was being prepped or something? I also saw them yesterday as well. Flew right over my house. Two in formation. Pretty surprising.

Loudoun Alert sent this out on Thursday:

subject: Residents Advised of Public Safety Traning Exercise on 9/26/ 09 from 9am to Noon See Email for Details

    Sep 24 (2 days ago)

Loudoun County, VA: Emergency personnel in the Northern Virginia region will be conducting simultaneous training exercises at four venues on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from approximately 9 a.m. to noon.

The training exercises will be held in Arlington County/City of Alexandria, Prince William County, Fairfax County and Loudoun County. In Loudoun County, the training exercise will be held at the Dulles Commuter parking lot located on Moran Road.

The Loudoun County exercise will have minimal impact on the community and should not affect traffic. A small stretch of Lockridge Road between Prentice Road and Moran Road will be closed for the exercise.

Residents are advised that public safety vehicles will be seen in this area beginning Friday afternoon and evening as well as throughout the day on Saturday.

The full-scale exercises are the third in a series of three training events that have been scheduled over the past several years in the Northern Virginia region. The exercises enable public safety personnel to enhance their capabilities through training and exercise.

"Our" as in "Ashburn". I'm sure you are aware that Broad Run High School are the reigning Virginia AA Division 4 State Football Champs. Congrats on beating Park View last night!

My kids are still in Elementary School...

Quite aware since I attended both schools during my HS days. Still, not everything with an "Ashburn" address has to be claimed.

    Just saying.
