Any American Girls Doll will do. I am hoping to find a gently used one instead of spending all of that money on a new one!
    Thanks!

Does it have to be an official American Girl brand? Last year I bought a Gotz brand (the original maker of the AG ones, actually) at Tuesday morning for about $29. Looks just like the AG and wears the same size clothes.

Target also carries a line of AG look a-likes. They're called something like My Generation Dolls. They run around $21.

Skip the look alikes. They are so cheap looking. AG Dolls retain their value much better.

Check out Craigs List or eBay. There are always lots on there. And more importantly, accessories!!!!!!

Our family votes for the historical dolls. They are fun, can look like your daughter, but help teach history. We like Samantha, Kit, Molly, Nellie and Ruthie the best.

    Good luck!

We have a real one and my 2nd daughter has a look-alike, but she would like a real one. Thanks to older sister for the "not a real American Girl Doll" alert. sheesh. ("Wuuuuut? It's not!". Brat!)

I have Samantha and Felicity - both in great shape - my daughter never used either except to brush their hair a couple of times - make me an offer! Shelley Mattice, 703-858-2905

I may be interested in Felicity - do you have any of the accessories, books, etc that go with her?
    Thanks.
