    S & S Heating & Cooling

Has anybody had (or heard of any) good or bad experiences with this company? I am trying to select a contractor to replace our A/C and so far they are the low bid on a Carrier A/C and furnace installation.

Any other recommendations or advice on what to ask or look for when getting quotes? Any features or service you recommend, or recommend avoiding?

    Thanks!

    eam--

Check out Bowman's Heating for HVAC for great customer service and fair prices as well as knowledge of their products, etc. When we built our farm house several years ago, we used them for our HVAC system, humidifiers, etc.

If you do a search on the forum for Bowman's Heating and others opinions, you will find they are in agreement with out consensus. They are located in Sterling and have coupons on their web site.

    Below is their website--

    www.bowmanheating.com (Bowman's Heating site/info.)

Any more info needed--just pm or ask.

We used Climatic to replace our system. They put in an Infinity system from Carrier. Sonny came back out after they were done to inspect everything. We got $3250.00 off their price with incentives, tax credits, rebates, etc. Everyone was really nice and we were happy with the finished product. Their website is www.climaticva.com

I have used S&S for years. Family run. Very good people. Excellent work. Many times I've had the same person come out to work on my HVAC. I used them a few years ago to replacement my heater system. Highly recommended.

What are your opinions on the optional addons - special filter cabinets, humidifiers, replacing the line going into the house vs flushing it out?

Can't comment on S & S but I think we need a section on this forum for service experience. Sorta like Angie's List. A place where people can comment on their experience with a service call.
