We went by there yesterday to get a bubble tea and it was closed. No sign was up, the hours were gone from the window, but everything was still in the building. There were even toys strewn about as if they suddenly had to leave or something.
About a month or two ago we were in there and noticed barely anything in the display case so I got a little worried.
Anyone have the scoop? I sure hope they aren't closed. This is one of my favorite places to go for free WiFi and of course a bubble tea.
I know they're closed Sun/Mon but this was on a Thursday at around 3:30 or 4 in the afternoon.

Oh no! I love bubble tea, and I haven't had it since we moved to Ashburn last year. Literally, just a few hours ago, I found out that Sweetest Chef has it (from reading a review). I was so excited to have a nearby place where I could get it, and now it's gone? Boo!

Fe Yens cafe may have it, I know they have lots of delicious drinks and teas... haven't been to sweetest chef in a long time, hope it is still around! That a tough plaza for eateries.

We drove past last week, but it was on a Monday when it was supposed to be closed anyway, things looked the same.
So who knows if it's closed!!! I sure hope not :(
Yens doesn't have bubble tea as far as I know. We went in there several months ago to try a smoothie and I didn't see bubble tea on the menu. It would make perfect sense if they did though.
The chinese place in the Shopper's (ex shoppers lol) shopping center was serving bubble tea but I don't know if they still are. There was also another food place that had bubble tea in the same shopping center but I don't know if they're still there (kinda doubt it).
They were using mixes though. I don't know if Sweetest Chef does or not, but I do know that they at least brew their own tea for the milk tea. The other flavors I don't know!
We were in there once and something was off in the milk tea so they made me a taro slush which was SO GOOD and my kids even liked it. I would have never ordered it on my own.

Yeah, there's a place at Dulles Town Center (Smoothie World or something like that?) that has bubble tea. I only got it once there, but it was sub-par, IMO. Sweetest Chef is really close to my house (I live in the Village), so I got all excited thinking I could get good bubble tea easily.

Someone told me today that the sign for Sweetest Chef Cafe is gone. If so, then I guess they are closed like Village Grill in the same shopping center. What's next?

hmmm, my guess would be an independently own business with decent food and service but little to no advertising and a lousy location...

doesn't narrow it down much does it!!! :shakehead:

A good Irish pub owned and operated by people actually from Ireland would be nice to have around. I miss Ireland's Four Provinces in Falls Church! It's still there but I'm not. :( That said, I don't know if it's owned and operated by anyone from Ireland but if not they faked it pretty well.

Edited to add: I just looked it up 4Ps is owned by an Irishman!

Is Kirkpatrick's in Ashburn Village still around? I haven't been there in a while.

Nope. That location is now called finnegans, more american bar than irish pub. O'faolains in sterling is an authentic irish pub. Xlnt food!
