We had a problem with 2nd zone A/C unit over the summer (the fan wasn't working and it was blowing warm air inside the house) so called the tech and he diagnosed that the capacitor was the problem so we replaced the capacitor and it worked fine through out the summer month.

The same unit is now giving us trouble with heat. The problem with the unit now is that the fan is making SOOO much noise that our next door neighbor can even hear it from their kitchen ! When the fan is running the whole unit is shaking really loud.. We are getting warm air out of the vent and the filters were recently changed. Would it be safe if we open the unit and maybe check for some loose screws?

It's just the noise and the shakiness (???) of the unit - Any advise?

    Thanks !

Not recommended to open without shutting the power off first. There should be a circuit breaker on the side of your house right next to your units. Just open the breaker for that unit and pull the cube out first. This will remove all power from the unit.
