Feedback on Broadlands MOMs group?

Now that my third little one has arrived, I am no longer working and looking to join a moms group in the area. If you are a member, can you please post or PM me your opinions on the group? How much committment/involved is required, can you pretty much participate in as much or as little as you want each week/month depending on how busy you are? How flexible are playgroup times? What kinds of moms night outs do you do, etc.? Thanks!!

 

Smheese, I sent you a long PM! For anyone else interested, MOMS Club is a great support group for moms and kids in the Broadlands/Brambleton Area. We do lots of fun activities each month both for the kids and moms, and we're involved in many charity projects. You can participate in as much or as little as you would like. Anyone who is interested is welcome to come to our next Meet and Greet at the Broadlands Community Center at 10am on Friday Jan 15th. Feel free to PM me with any questions!

 

They are a great organization. I have belonged to them where we used to live as well as here. You can be as active as you want to be. They require nothing other than a yearly dues, which is only $25. A great way to meet other moms, and for my kids to meet other kids. We have made life long friends. Good luck to you.

I might be interested, I was way back in 2006 then never done anything about it. When are the meetings days/time? I will probably stop by Jan. 15th..

 

Hi KZsMOM, we have our monthly meeting (Meet and Greet) on the 3rd Friday of each month at 10am at the Broadlands Community Center. The next one is this coming Friday, the 15th. All are welcome! We usually have a different theme each month, snacks, a craft for the kids, toys for them to play with, and sometimes a speaker with a topic of interest for the moms. If we have club business to discuss, that portion usually only takes a few minutes. It's a great way to meet new people and the kids have lots of fun. I hope to see you there!
