Does anyone have contact information for anyone shoveling or plowing driveways and walkways? I've looked through this entire topic and only seen one number. A bad back prohibits me from doing it myself so any reasonable prices will not be argued (I did have an offer from my landscaper to do it for $200 --- no thanks). Thank you for any information.

Inverness, where are you, North or South Broadlands? And are all your neighbors pitching in for the cost? What price did he quote? Thanks.

Absolutely. So is the cat. Ba dum bum :p

The cat litter won't help melt the snow but can be used for traction for tires or feet.

I had a couple guys knock on my door this morning offering to shovel so we took them up on it! I will see if they have a cell phone and I will post their number...but it appears that a lot of folks needing work are coming out and knocking on doors. Rate is $30-50 per driveway, with more for sidewalks. We have a corner house with a long sidewalk...so it will cost us a bit more.

Of course no human can possibly dig through that HUGE mound of ice that the plow trucks piled on the corner of our sidewalk. Is there a way the HOA could help us out? (Since the HOA-paid plow trucks put it on our sidewalk). That 5ft tall block of ice will take professional equipment to remove. :rant:Please forward all of your complaints about that uncleared portion of my sidewalk to the HOA to deal with.

Volunteers to help jackhammer off the sidewalk are welcome, please bring your own jackhammer.

We just brought our newborn from the hospital last nite and are looking for someone to finish clearing the driveway. We used the jeep as a plow last nite, so its just the clean up part left.

We are in overland park (near safeway)...

    PM me if interested.

We too have a pipestem, and live on the end and the neighbors next to us decided not to stay home this weekend and are gone. So we have to get our chunk of the stem + theirs out so we can get out.

Oh and not to mention our whole section hasn't even been touched by any sort of a plow yet.

If anyone knows a plow looking for work send me a note zak@yellowfiber.net or on my cell 703-209-5706

Re: Snow Removal Team Ready to Clear Your Driveway and Sidewalks

We had Alex and his friend come this morning to shovel us out. They did a great job and were really really reasonably priced. I highly recommend them and will be giving them a call in the future.

So the person I hired never showed up or called. Tried to do some myself but have a bad back, a neighbor kindly helped me but I still have half of the driveway and porch to do. If anyone is available and wants to make some money please PM me!

Our neighbors across the street are stuck down in Florida (don't you feel bad for them?). Hopefully they will get home today. Several of the kids on the street and a neighbor on the next street with a snowblower went over yesterday and cleared their driveway and walk.

Seeing how everyone pitches in and helps each other is why I'm glad I live in this neighborhood.
