I am having problems, but it doesnt appear to be routing. I can VPN in fine and work remotely with no troubles. The problems Im having, and it was fine yesterday, is when I browse. I can resolve the URLs correctly, but I get timeouts reaching the sites, or once I reach a site, it partially returns or I get a message stating my browser sent an invalid request. I use FFx 3.5.3 and 3.5.7 and have the problem from multiple machines. I'm starting to think there is a problem with inbound traffic, but I've been in a "GoToMeeting" for 2 hours now and no problems at all. Only problems with browsing. It's driving me nuts.

We're having problems as well. WTOP webpages loaded just fine but this one and others are not connecting. I hope the TV service doesn't go out, too!!!

    FiOS Internet problems?

A few of us are not able to access general news sites, email sites, etc. and turns out the one thing we have in common is FiOS internet.
Fun that we can access this forum though :)

Is anyone else experiencing problems loading pages or accessing sites entirely?

Same issues here. Some sites come up fast, others just hang and hang. Has anyone rebooted their Fios router, and has that helped?

Hi, we're definitely having problems - I posted it somewhere else, sorry, didn't see this until now.
I've tried on our Mac & PC, browsers for IE, Safari, Firefox and Chrome. All FAIL. Can't get news sites, social media sites, AOL, Yahoo, pages. But can get this forum and some gmail, for now.

Thanks for moving my thread. I have tried rebooting, to no avail...
Going to leave for more pleasant experience of finding food :) Maybe all will be well when I return.

Well, sorta. I still can't get to a few sites, such as Apple, etc. Other services seem to work now, so they're definitely working on the issue and getting things resolved...

I will correct myself, I now think it is a routing problem as the OP originally stated. It seems we can get "to" all sites, yet not all sites can get to us (i.e. the hanging we see with webpages' response). Since some sites can get to us and we can get to all sites, I strongly suspect there are asynchronous routing problems at FIOS's peering points with at least 1 or more ISP(s). I don't know which one or how many, but it could be due to the fact that FIOS is not announcing our routes to the ISP(s), or our routes are "flapping". In which case, BGP dampening is probably occuring. As the BGP dampening penalty wears off, it works for an instant, only to get dampened again due to flapping. This is usually caused by a layer 1 problem or interface mis-configuration (OC timing) between the ISPs. Until someone fixes that, or someone else volunteers to backhaul FIOS' traffic (FAT CHANCE), we'll be feeling this pain probably for the whole day, if not longer.
Those are just my thoughts based on what Im experiencing and seeing at this point. Hope it clears soon, its very painful.

That makes total sense and is something I've experienced before when I was on Comcast. The only 'good' part about this is that it affects many people and not just a small group, so it probably has high visibility within the support structure at Verizon at the moment. Hopefully. ;)

    Just came across this:

"Verizon has identified and is currently working on routing issues in Fredricksburg, Leesburg, and Ashburn Virginia. The problem was identified at approx 11 am."

Let's hope they can get this resolved quickly...

I've been experiencing a number of speed issues over the last couple of weeks. At times I am close to my 20/5 plan speeds, but often it's more like 2/1 or something like that. Today many sites still won't come up (myfoxdc.com, wusa9.com, etc.) all the time and when they do they are very slow (wtop, yahoo, etc.).
