Looking to send my child for the first time to a one week overnight summer camp (within driving distance).

Looking for suggestions. I like Camp Rim Rock and Camp Twin Creek. Does anyone have any experience with either of these camps?

It's for a girl who will be 8 in the summer. She is not currently in Girl Scouts.

you don't have to be a girl scout to go to the camps, and my daughter turned 8 this past sept and went to a 1 week camp last year, so i would highly recommend you check it out! gscnc.org

Foxcroft offers sleepaway camp as well as day camp but I believe everything is two week sessions. They are out in Middleburg. My 3rd grader went to their day camp the past three summers and loved it.
