Need Help! Seeking Mother's Helpers and Babysitters!

First, let me say, I'm not looking for someone only home for a couple of months. Looking for someone that lives locally and can work with our family for a while and get to know the kids.

Also need someone that can come to my home.

Looking for occasional daytime and evening mother's helpers. Possibly someone that goes to school locally at NOVA or GMU, lives at home. I have three children, infant, 2 and 4. Need occasional daytime help for an hour or two so I can get stuff done at home or run out of the house for a short while. Also, an occasional evening between 5 and 8pm or a weekend evening once a month or so.

Seeking someone that is fun and can entertain the kids but in addition needs to be experienced to feed meals, give baths and bedtime routine and infant experience is a plus. Looking for someone that is a strong child care provider with experience dealing with multiple ages.

For mother's helper type work it would be for short periods of time where I may be home some or most of the time, for babysitting jobs on possible weekends, the kids are sleeping most of the time, they are very good, and we come home early, so overall a very easy gig. Our past and current babysitters have been very happy and the kids love having them over to play.

Our chapter of MOMS Club has a babysitting co-op that seems to be working well for people. Since you're trading babysitting duties with other moms that you know it makes it pretty easy for both you and your kids. I think some do a swap thing where one mom watches both family's kids for a few hours each week and then you switch on whatever schedule you wish. Even for occasional outings you just put out a request. Evenings are possible with it, too.

I don't know if you're new to the whole staying home with the kids thing, but you might look into joining MOMS Club to get to know other stay at home moms. Even if you aren't in a club of some kind, our neighborhood has some parents who trade off fairly regularly and it's nice to be able to do that.

Recently found out that we'll probably be losing another one of our older excellent babysitters due a happy life change event.

That leaves me desperately seeking a babysitter that is older, responsible and can handle small children and an infant.

We are a very easy gig. The kids are good. They go to bed early, we are home early and only need someone on occassion.

PLEASE if you have a daughter or know someone that is looking for extra babysitting days, I'd really appreciate it if you have them contact me.

I would just like to add that I've had the pleasure of watching these kids. They are amazing children! Family is super, super nice.

 

I sit for a Few families here in the Broadlands/ Ashburn Area. A few from this site. I have excellent references. I am available pretty much on the weekends with a few Days notice.
