cop cars corner of Milford/Westdale

Anyone know what's going on?

 

We live caddy corner from there and I've talked to a lot of my neighbors. Nobody knows what's going on. One neighbor said they brought in CSI type cases and were taking pictures inside. This sort of thing lets you imagination run wild.

 

taking pictures inside the house on the corner? did anyone ask any of the cops standing outside?

 

Not that I'm aware. I saw the whole thing driving by and talked to some of my neighbors at Mill Run.

 

i do know they have been conducting surveillance on this house for while. a couple months ago there was an ummarked car sitting in front of our house with two people in it taking notes (we live on the other side of milford/wingfoot court). anyway, i called LCSO and they said it was authorized surveillance on that house, but would not release any other info.

 

Briefly talked to the guys and expressed concern for my kids. Their answer was not to worry "financial crime stuff". I left it at that. BTW, they are still there after 1pm.... unmarked cars, vans, cameras, and lots of cardboard file boxes.....

 

hmmm, always had good trick or treating there. That sucks. And so the guys that you talked to were the "owners" or tenants of the house in question? Yea sounds like a search warrant being executed.

No, the people I talked to were officials conducting the investigation. I have never seen or met the owners/tenants. These officials were dressed in dark clothes, had gun bolsters and the one I talked to had a camera hanging from his neck. Their cars were unmarked. Other neighbors that live closer to the house in question confirmed seeing officials surrounding the house and loud bangs at around 7-7:15 this morning. I did see a few cop cars early in the morning, but the raid/investigation officials were there until about lunchtime today....

 

They were there from at least 7:30 this morning and gone (or at least mostly gone) around 1:30pm (when I got back from lunch). At one point they were taking a ton of electronics (huge flat-screen TV, monitors, etc) out of the house into a van.

Who knew this was such an exciting neighborhood?

OK more info.........There has been a Federal Investigation on the homeowner Tony over the past six months. The 'cops' conducting the raid were actually the Secret Service (initials on their uniform also read USSS). Secret Service went next door to a neighbor to ask questions about Tony. Supposedly he is a real estate agent and also owned a nail salon in Maryland. His girlfriend and his neice were in the house and he had several other roomates. One of the agents said that when they raided the house, all the bedroom doors were locked and his girlfriend was hiding. Tony is in Vietnam and most likely will never return to the US. They took a truck load of evidence/items from his house and they towed his two vehicles. Fianally, the secret service assured our neighbor that we shouldn't feel unsafe....
So any guesses on what this financial crime involves? Do you think it'll be on the news?

 

i say it makes the local news the same way news of the el atari's shenangians did- WEEKS after the blogs and message boards already broke the story!

now we know how this is the wealthiest county in the US...
