I need to have some work and an appraisal done on a few things and would love a recommendation for a local jeweler and not one of the big well known stores.

    Thanks!

there's a store in Leesburg that was robbed last year- he's been a local jeweler for decades but I can't think of the name... maybe this is it?

The Other Kind of Jewelry Store, located at 120 East Market Street in Leesburg.

since most of my jewelry is $5 or less i know nothing about jewelers... :)

No that's wrong- I think it's Leesburg Jewelers...

    Kettermans (in Leesburg).

We've been clients for 8+ years and I trust them, so much so I sent my Mother In Law to their store when she needed repairs & appraisals.
I would ask for Tammy (Mrs. Ketterman) Theresa and/or Heather (their goldsmith).

Not close by, but I go to Dominion Jewelers in Falls Church, VA. Right off Rt. 7. I buy everything from them and if it ain't right, they'll fix it. They do custom designs as well as repair and they have a shop right on site so there's no sending off your jewelry somewhere.

    Ask for Marcia

I'd also chime in for Ketterman's in Leesburg. Have been there several times and been pleased with the work. They also have a great BRIGHTON display if that interests you as well?

I would also vote for Ketterman's or Designer Goldsmiths also in Leesburg. On another topic, anyone know of a jeweler than buys jewelry? - not like the cash for gold folks - I've got a beautiful sapphire and white gold tennis bracelet that I never wear, that I'd love to sell! Anyone looking for a bargain mother's day gift?
