What it needs is a good Mexican place, not like the horrible one that was there before. Need one like El Agave in Warrenton.

Funny you should mention El Agave...we actually ate there yesterday. We were in Warrenton for a family thing, and hubby mentioned he felt like Mexican food, and I remembered you all had mentioned a place. While I searched, turns out we were sitting in the same parking lot as the place!

Ambiance is a bit like some of the Anita's in the area, as is the cleanliness. I am going to cut them some slack, because I am trying to envision that they were slammed up until minutes before we walked in the door. The service was mediocre/average, and my drink was empty more than it was full. The food was pretty good. My husband really liked his.

My thoughts are, that if you are already in Warrenton and feel like Mexican, give it a try...but I certainly would not go out of my way to go there.

    Total experience was just ehhhh...

I have seen a lot of turnover in this shopping center and hope things will get better but it will continue to go down before we see anything positive. You have to realize that owners sign these leases 7-10 years ago. How can you research a falling economy?? How can you know that the landlord will rasie rent and put in more competiton? How will you know that the housing market will take a dive and gas prices/food prices go way up?? How will you know that 5 new shopping centers will fill their spaces with food?? Do you think Bloom and Starbucks didn't do any research? If people would have known all of this years ago, they would have never signed a lease.

That's about how we feel about it as well actually. Its hard to go out of our way to go out there, but will go when visiting friends nearby. We've most definitely had better out west, but I'm not holding my breath on getting anything even remotely like that (Macayo's / Serrano's / etc quality). I'd settle with just 'good'. :)

I'm not surprised. Got carryout from Bluz Brothers once and took forever and the food was barely edible. Never again. If you're looking for a place off the beaten path, try Reddy's BBQ (http://reddysbbqco.com/). They were on 15 between Sudley Road and I-66; they moved fairly recently and are on Route 29 just before it hits 66. Best beef brisket anywhere in this area.

El Fresco in Chantilly is one of our favorite places. We've never been disappointed with our meals. Small family owned place, no glitz just good food.

I LOVE that they deliver! I get them for lunch quite often. They send the tacos double layered (with two hard shells) knowing that they won't be so crunchy after they're delivered.
