I'm thinking of getting our entryway tile totally taken up and redone. Does anyone have recommendations? I'm not sure if I want tile or wood. Any stories, good or bad, of anyone who has done such a thing?

    Many thanks.

I had my tile removed in my entryway last summer and it was replaced with hardwood. It has made such an improvement in the look of the house!

My brother (who has a small home improvement business) took care of it for me. It was much more difficult removing the tile than he expected and it took about 4 days to complete (removing the tile and laying the hardwood). Even with the mess it made, it is totally worth it...I actually enjoy walking in my front door now and seeing the hardwood instead of the ugly builder grade white tile!

If you would like my brother's contact info, send me a PM.

The Charles Luck stone center off of Sterling Blvd has a very nice selection if you want something above what you can pick up at Lowe's/Home Depot. Ask for Amanda or Allie.

I own a commercial and residential contracting business. We are also designers. I would love to take a look at it for you.
