Hello - I'm new to golf, never played before and I'm interested in taking lessons so I don't make a fool out of myself. I was looking into Brambleton as they have an intro to golf for women for first timers and the price isn't too bad. Don't want to spend too much on lessons yet. Does anyone have any advice, thoughts?

Also, look into 1757 Golf Club..it's the golf course right on Waxpool and Broderick (close to Wegmans). I hear they have one of the best practice facilities around so I'm going to assume their instructional program is better than Brambleton's. I have never been there but my friends have and they say it's a great place to hit balls and practice.

I have looked there as well however their lessons are $250.00 for the intro, not sure I want to invest that much right now.....my husband and son have gone there to hit balls, although they say to do that is expensive as well.

One other place to consider is the range on rt 28...think it's called Dulles Sportsplex or something like that. They have a batting cage and a driving range. This is the range I used to go to when I lived in Ashburn back in early 2000's and their facility is nice. The good thing about going to a range vs a golf course for lessons is you can take lessons in the evening and in general, I always feel like instructors will be better at a range vs a local muni course like Brambleton. Of course this isn't always the case.

If Brambleton is the most convenient place to go to, then I would go there, take a few lessons and first see if golf is something you'll enjoy. Just remember to be patient and try to stick it out...it's a great sport. I'm addicted to it!! :)

Been thinking about lessons myself. Just trying to break 100. Who at Dulles Golf Center do you recommend?
