Working Moms Group?

Does anyone know if the working moms group of Broadlands still meets? I do not see it in the latest HOA news magazine.

 

I haven't seen it there either. I have been trying to find a local working moms group and no luck - I'm interested in hearing if anyone knows of one!

 

There was one that very rarely met. I was all set to go to one meeting - then they cancelled it. I joined the online forum and was waiting to meet people before I joined (at something other than a "Sex in the City" movie date or weekday - since I do work - lunch date), and kept seeing almost nothing. Then I was sort of unceremoniously booted off of the online forum for not joining.

I am also very interested in a Working Mom's group.. my baby is almost 3 months and I am heading back to work. I did check out the link for LoCo Mom's but I was hoping for something for Broadlands moms. Let me know if you find anything and I will do the same!

 

Since it doesn't seem like there are any current established groups out there, and there does seem to be interest in having a working moms group, would anyone be interested in establishing our own? Something informal and low maintenance....let me know if you are interested and I can try to set something up.

 

I would definately be interested! I am actually starting back to work this week.. I have a 3 month old. I would be happy to help set something up as well.

 

i joined when we moved here and attended one event and also was part of an am walking group. everyone was really nice and the two women who set it up (sisters) really tried to keep it going but there was just a lack of interest i guess. when they broke apart they did refund the meetup enrollment fee that people paid when they joined. sorry you had a bad experience.

either way, i'd love to have something like this as i've found that most mom's groups and fun baby/mom activities are held at convenient times such as 10am on tuesdays and such when i'm very much at the office ;-)

 

I am definitely interested in forming a group. I have an 11 month old and am desperate to meet new Moms in Broadlands. I enjoy walking and swimming and have joined the new Sport and Health which has a childrens club. I am open to meet any day or time as I do not work May-Sept. Hope we can make somethin happen.

 

OK. For those of you who responded you were interested, could you send me (julie1679@yahoo.com) an email with your email address? It will probably be easier to figure out a time/place to meet that way. I'm thinking mid-June either on a week night (7:30 ish) or during the day on the weekend. When you send your email, let me know what your preference is and if you have an idea for where to meet? Restaurant? Starbucks? Once we have something set, I'll post it on the board again in case there are others interested.
