Does anyone know when the 2010 swimming lesson information will get posted to the HOA site? Have a couple of 3-5 year olds we're interested in getting lessons for.

I don't know. Andre did them the last 2 years - This year he has another job and is not returning but we have Giacamo who is running the program. I am suppose to meet with him later this week. I will suggest the August session, but I believe it will depend on the amount of interest if it gets done.

We need lessons in the first two weeks after school (June 21-July 2) and it looks like the group lessons are full or otherwise not available then. I would be interested if there's anyone qualified to do independent lessons with my son at a Broadlands pool, schedule flexible. My son needs to brush up especially on freestyle and breaststroke and also should work on elementary backstroke. Most lessons don't include this stroke and it's required at Scout summer camps. Contact me via email or PM if interested. Thanks!

I registered my son for the June 21-July 2 group lessons at 8pm at Summerbrook and have not heard anything back. I see it is no longer on the website, are those classes still going on?

The lessons are still going on. Not sure why they are not still listed on their site.
TF43195 If you want to PM me your info I will have Giacomo or Filippo call you about them

I also registered a while back for the 1st session (evening). Should we expect a confirmation phone call or email or do we just show up at the pool on the first day?

Karina -- we're registered for the same session and haven't heard anything either. I guess we just show up!

I talked to Veronika today and yes if you have already registered for the lessons starting the 1st session you just need to show up starting on Monday 6/21 at your time.
As for registration - registration for Session 1 is now closed (all registrations close 1 week before the session starts). Most of our other sessions are very close to full so if you are interested please be sure to sign up. Any questions can be directed to Veronika@highsierrapools.com

Staci, how will they handle kids moving up levels if the class is already full? For example, I signed Kate for 2 sessions as a Nemo. However, based on what I have seen her do so far this summer, I have a feeling she will move up to Sea Turtles quickly - will she be allowed if the class is technically 'full'?

Also, it was nice before that we could sign up for the next session based on how much the kids were enjoying class and how much they were getting out of it. With the new system, it seems like we need to go on faith and sign up weeks in advance. I hope that if a kid hates it, the parents can ask for a refund?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry I have no insight to give any input - That was Andre's program which he ran with Veronika as his boss so I would contact her with any questions. I know you will be in good hands with Giacomo and Fillipo and the electronic payment part should make everything much easier to schedule and manipulate as needed rather then having everything hand written. I believe the reason for the changes has more to do with the so many more people registering for lessons already this year then any other year past.

Does anyone know how we will know if lessons are cancelled due to inclement weather? Do we just go with if the pool is open, then lessons are on? Therefore, just check this website for pool closings?

    Thanks

I think if there is questions about if the weather is ok for lessons you can check the website but also you can call the pool. The guards are not always great about promptly letting me know when they are closed for weather so it may not make it on the website.
