I have the standard black GE side-by-side that came with the house. The freezer side door wont close. It closes but it wont stay closed..the door open a tiny bit so that you can feel the cold air escape. There is no suction on the door. Can anyone recommend a repair company/guy that's not too expensive or how I can go about getting this fixed myself (if possible...not a whole lot handy but I'm learning :))

    Thanks,
    T

Can't you just get a new seal? I think you could install it yourself. There is an appliance parts store in Sterling (Tribles 703-435-7515). You could call them and ask.

Could your fridge/freezer have lost it's 'level'? Have you tried using the front wheels/legs to slightly raise the front, thus using the slight angle to keep the door closed?

If you push it shut, does it seal correctly? If not, then your issue is probably not the angle. If it does shut properly when pushed, you might try this and see if it works.

Make sure you have trays/bins are installed on the correct slots. The bottom slot is design for a specific tray, so make sure they are in the correct places or else it will cause the door to stay open and won't be complete closed.
