    Hi,

I am curious to know why the Summerbrooke pool is so cold. With the hot weather we've been having, it just doesn't make sense why the pool isn't warmer.

It always is the coldest of our pools because it is the shallowest one. With it being as hot as it is this means faster evaporation and more filling at that pool thus it stays cooler. Plus with all the fountains the water never sits as still which also keeps it from heating as fast.
It may seem cold but right now it is probably the only pool that is somewhat refreshing as the other 2 are almost too hot.

It's not nearly as cool as it was last year... and you'll be glad it's "refreshing" today!

Thanks! I guess I thought a shallower pool would be warmer, not colder but I can certainly see how the fountains could keep it cooler. Last year I took my child there and she didn't not even want to get in it was so cold. It certainly seems warmer this year. I had heard a rumor that there was a crack in the pool or something and so that it constantly needed to be refilled so I was wondering if that was true.

Its most definitely the fountains that make it so cold IMO.

No not true at all. Being shallow makes the absorption rate much higher which is why it needs filled more often. Not sure where the crack rumor came from but this pool has always needed filled more then the other 2. We did have a leak at the street meter about 4 years ago but that had nothing to do with the pool itself.

Son wanted to go to the pool, so we went over this afternoon. The water was perfect! Not cold at all. I can imagine the other pools being very warm.

Summerbrooke pool has been very warm this year. It is usually cold, but I would swear it was heated at times.

I feel lucky to have such nice pools. I can't believe how empty that pool has been that last two afternoons. At 3pm both days there couldn't have been more than 7 or 8 families there, even less on Saturday.
