    Loudon Alerts? What about this serial stabber running arond loudon? Wheres the alert

    I didnt receive one in my email.. Anybody?

    Seems the first some people heard about this was on national news and we are so close to leesburg. whos running that thing?:angryfire::nono:

    (Not trying to pick a fight), but it is very *possible* that the delay in the LSCO Alerts may have originated with the lack of communication or information from the Town of Leesburg Police Dept to the LCSO, it could have been a jurisdictional thing.

    I just checked and it's essentially that the LCSO has yet to put out an alert through their channels. When they do, it should propagate through the normal channels, including here...

    Eric - it appears the LCSO posted something on Facebook (see link below) but it's a link to the Town of Leesburg Police Dept (which was also pushed out to the public domain via FB & Twitter on Monday night)...which is why I thought it might be a jurisdictional issue.

    IMHO: it appears this was a developing situation with info coming in from other states/agencies. The Town of Leesburg may have been waiting on confirmation and input from the federal authorities (given the possible racial motivation of these crimes).

    this news has been doing rounds in facebook last 2 days.....
    if you add LCSO's page to your account, then you can see all alerts from LCSO.

    I hope they caught the right guy.

    Apparently he is a former Leeburg resident, married his wife in Leesburg and his sister is a current resident.

    IMHO: I think this incredible police work by the Town of Leesburg Police Dept in cooperation with Flint, MI & other jurisdictions.

    CNN posted this guys photo......

    There are two different sources ....

    One says, this guy was arrested in Arlington, VA last week and police were able to track his name/vehicle to Michigan....

    Then, what was he doing in Atlanta? Was he out on bail?

    He was stopped by police in Arlington before the stabbings in Leesburg and before his vehicle was caught on video, so the Arlington police didn't know to keep him for anything. After the Leesburg attacks, he then headed to Atlanta. In the meantime, Arlington police heard of the vehicle description and recalled stopping a guy with that type of vehicle and noting that he'd had a hammer and knife in the car. That led to the authorities knowing his name. Nice work for the police in putting it all together! Glad he's no longer a threat! How scary :(
