Quick question about these coupons.... when the coupon says you have to spend $35, does that mean you spend $35 and get $25 off with the coupon or does that mean that you have to spend $35 ABOVE the coupon amount? This may be a silly question but sometimes the fine print can get you.

not a silly question at all! I believe you DO have to spend the minimum to get the deal on restaurant.com coupons. so- for example on Pines of Florence, if you don't spend $35 total, you cannot use the $25 GC. and look closely for alcohol rules...

It's a good idea to call ahead of time to ask about their rules even if they're on the certificate. And of course to make sure they still accept them.
One pizza place that is in Broadlands (I forget the name) didn't make us spend the entire $35. We got to about $30 and I was scouring the menu looking for something to add and the guy told me not to worry about it (he was a manager too). So our meal was like $9! It was great.
    That's the good.
The bad, is that if you don't read carefully and use it, say, on the wrong day, some restaurants will tell you you're S.O.L. (I'm looking at you, Nick's Corner Grill).
Foster's was a great one until they raised the amount you have to spend to $45. Really. Who spends that much at Foster's? You can do it, but it ends up not being worth it.
I'm holding out for Ford's Fish Shack to join!!!
If you don't get emails from restaurant.com, sign up for them. What usually happens is that they go from 50-80% off a week at a time. After the 80%, they're "full price" then the following week they start again with 50% off, then 60%, etc. etc.
I miss Village Grill because that was another place where I felt you got the full value out of the certificate.
