Would love to. One of my favorite games. But I play almost any game.

Excellent! It's one of my favorite too but seems like it's tough to find cribbage players out there!

I also enjoy games - card games, board games.

I'll see how many participants we get in a week and then love to set something up!

Cribbage !!! I learned to play over a bar ... wound up with the barman buying me drinks. But that was a long time ago ..

I'd be willing to play every other week as long as its not a Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday .. !

I love cribbage! Haven't played in a while, but I would be interested. I am also a hearts player if that is of any interest.

I am so happy for the responses! I was taught by my Dad when I was four and then when I spent some time in Alaska, fine-honed my skill! :D (read that as you may!)

Okay...looks like we've got four of us thus far...and by next week I'm happy to organize an event!

What would work best for folks - a weekend or weeknight?

Tuesdays & Thursdays are bad for me right now. Other than that, I am pretty open, although I will be able to stay up later on a weekend:)

I am pretty open. I have things going on each fourth wednesday and each third thursday, but other then that with a bit of advance notice I am available. It may or may not be two of us, never know with my husband.

I believe I still have a cribbage board somewhere in this house. Will have to dig a bit.

I also play hearts, spades, canasta, gin, and (badly) bridge. I am the backgammon queen, I will take you on any day. And other boardgames of course as well, lately my favorite has been sequence.

Okay ya'll...Cribbage is my favorite but I also happen to play: euchre, 500, hearts, spades, Cad, poker, canasta and chess.

Boardgames: trivial pursuit, scattagories, picture this, and many more!

Sounds like the cribbage night might turn into an all-over old fashioned games night!

I'm a newbie...What the heck is cribbage? We usually play boardgames. Also, has anyone ever or does anyone currently play Bunco? I've heard that it's a really fun game.

Cribbage is a classic game and was actually played in the olden days by Kings during which they would wager their kingdoms! Cribbage is played with a deck of cards and a board. The objective of the game is to be the first to achieve 121 points. In order to do so, points are acquired by combinations of cards equalling 15 and further points are acquired by typical "poker combos" such as pairs, runs, straights, flushes. In addition to the points one has in an individual hand, you also have a "count" against your partner. This is where you and your partner have a chance to play your cards against one another to gain additional points. It's a game of skill, luck and lots of fun!

This weekend is not good for me to set up a specific date for a games evening but I'm hoping by next week or weekend to propose something.

I also play many boardgames -- Trivial Pursuit, Scattergories, Picture This and some others. I've got quite a collection of boardgames. I've heard of Bunco but have never played it.

And of course, I love to play about any kind of cards! Nothing like good old fashioned simple entertainment....(no comments about showing age here please!) [:I]

Let's show it proudly please. I've been proudly turning 40 for quite a few years now.

I should be able to participate next weekend. I have btw. never played cribbage with a partner, didn't even know you could do that. Thought it was strictly a two player game.

Homecoming is this Saturday. I'm probably more excited than my daughter, it's a mom thing. I want her to have fun, and be safe. :)

Actually now that you pointed it out...I should have said opponent vice partner but in fact, you can play cribbages with partners. I have played with up to four individuals at the same time as well as with a partner too. But I do prefer the one-on-one competition...it's so much fun when playing "King of the Hill!"

How exciting for you and your daughter! I'm sure both of you will have a great time!

By the way...on the topic of age [)] seeing as how my dear stepmom just joined the red hat society at age 83, I guess I can too! [:I] (and nooooooo, I'm not saying I'm 83!) ;)
