New Mom Looking for Mom's Group

My husband and I recently welcomed our first little girl a few weeks back. This new mom is looking for a mom's group to join to try and meet a few other moms in the area. Any suggestions or details appreciated!

When I had my first son I went to the new mom's group at Loudoun Hospital. If you call or look on the web you'll get the details.

I thought, at the time, it would be useless and silly. But I needed an excuse to get out of the house. Plus, my hubby wad headed overseas for a month and I figured some human contact, even useless and silly, was better than none.

I couldn't have been more wrong. Not only did it help me figure out the baby issues I had at the time, but it provided me with a priceless gift--the friendship I still have with 5 women I met that very first day. 8 years later, four states lived in, we still support each other no matter what.

 

I would wholeheartedly second that recommendation. The women I met at the Loudoun New Mom's group are some of my closest friends today, over five years and more than a dozen new babies later! (Not my dozen, to be clear.)

 

There's a MOMS Club chapter in Broadlands but I don't have the contact info. Hopefully someone will jump in here with it.
