James Hardie Siding issue

    We just noticed one of our James Hardie Siding planks by one of our windows is cracked. Is this something under warranty if anyone knows and has anyone had this happen?

    We did have that happen, and it's not under warranty. I just called Archer Exteriors to come out for more repairs. If you want to use them too, their number is (703) 365-8860. The office is closed this weekend, but there is an answering service taking messages. It's helpful if you have your lot # because they'll have your siding color & any other information on file.

    Then it bodes the question what the heck is covered? We will call them, but it is such a small crack we may opt to caulk it which I think I read under the maintenance on James Hardie's website. Thanks for the info though.

    I thought Hardie board was a miracle siding. No maintenance for life. Guess not.
