We are in need of a new reator for our house in Ashburn. Has anyone had any recent GOOD experience with someone that sells in this area? We would love to negotiate the 6% commission to maybe 5%??

    Thanks

Navona Hart with Remax gateway is awesome. We have used her twice now as a realtor. Her number is 703-967-1911.

    I'd highly recommend Garen Ceccucci.

He is an agent with the Nilsen Team at Coldwell Banker Reston Town Center.

I can never say enough about Tobey Converse. He is a broker/agent. He just sold our house and found us a perfect house all in under a month- we moved almost 3 weeks ago.
He sold our place before that in 1 day....
He is very knowledgeable and a super guy. He was a sponsor for Broadlands Live the summer before last and really knows NOVA.

I think that most agents are willing to work with clients. I know that when we used Navona Hart, she gave us a 5% commission since we used her as our buyer's agent on the new home and as a selling agent on the old home. I think if you are using multiple agents and you try to get a discount you will get what you pay for. I know some people who did that and felt that they ended up losing more money than if they had actually paid an extra 1/2%.

I've heard good things about Realty Direct and they are discount broker. I sold my investment property using FSBO (for sale by owner) without any problems or issues it just takes some work on your part and you can negotiate commison with buyers agents. Though many realtors seem to unofficaly boycott FSBO properties since they don't get the larger commison on those sales. I just don't think the vast majority of agents are worth paying 3% of the price of your home, for very basic and routine services. Hopefully the DOJ will break their monopoly/stranglehold on the MLS to allow true competition on commisions.

Really loved our realtor, Megan Duke Radkowski and her partner Paul Bedewi with Remaxx Premier. She sold our house (7 days) and helped us buy a new construction home. She was a referral of several of my friends and she lives in Broadlands.

I have to put in a good word for our realtor, Bonnie Selker, of Keller Williams Realty. She is AWESOME. Professional, courteous, savvy and knowledgeable (also an Ashburn resident). When we were interviewing realtors to sell our previous home we met her and didn't look any further. I promise you will feel the same way. Her info: http://bonnieselker.yourkwagent.com/. Please give her a call, you will be glad that you did! Good luck!

The best realtors in the area are definitely Joe Doman and Beth Doman of Joe Knows Real Estate (ReMax). They are my brother and my mom, respectively, and you can check out their website www.joeknowsva.com or give Joe a call 703-929-5716 or Beth 703-200-4589.
There are some great realtors in this area, good luck finding the one that is right for you!
