Last night (3/26/2011) sometime after 10 pm my townhouse was shot up by several Pink Paintballs. I am located in the Broadlands off Demott. What turned out to be a stupid prank is now destruction of property as my siding was broken by one of the paintballs. Do you know where your kids are and what they are doing??????? If caught, there will now be cause to press charges.

plus shooting a paintball gun here anyways is illegal. Can't do it in residential zoned areas.

Folks....looks like the warmer weather coming is bringing additional problems to our neighborhood...

Per the police report, numerous cars were egged and paint damaged. Now, we DO have the police stating in their report that the paint was indeed damaged-this refutes what some folks said last year that paint doesn't get damaged by paint.

I think its high time that we all start being more vigiliant and asking our kids where they are and observing what they are taking with them as well as bringing home.

This doesn't look good at all.....

Au Contraire...Its not what Im "ACTING" like its the end or something as you put it. That is your own assumption.

I'll say it again so YOU can understand and COMPREHEND what I am saying: With the WARMER weather coming, more this kind of activity is going to be forthcoming. In the colder weather, we didn't have that much activity. Understood? Its NOT good because it causes MORE aggravation on many residents who are on the receiving end of these pranks and damage. Just is all I say.

Never did say or "act" that the world is coming to an end. Sheesh. :nono: In short, your assumptions about me were INCORRECT.

Not to be too flippant, BUT, this is news?

This type of behaviour from hooligans (EVERYWHERE) has been going on for a LOOONG time and gets posted on the forums on a VERY regular basis.

Yea, we need to be vigilant, but we ALWAYS need to be vigilant, not just when the weather gets warmer.

Well when you act by injecting yourself into the thread... to 'raise the warning flag' - then there is no assumption - you already acted.

And this is news or something to be aware of since when? We go through this every year. There is nothing new here... hey I got another tip for you.. when the kids go on break.. things get worse too. Just so you'll be ready...

I knew that these aren't Broadlands addresses but, nonetheless, its in Ashburn and wanted to alert people that its happening and we need to be vigiliant with the warmer weather coming in now. Doesn't hurt to point out that this spate of activity happened (actually happened around 10:30 PM) in Ashburn. Never know who these kids are...they could be anyone's kids so it doesn't hurt to let parents know what's going on lately.

Thanks for all the posts on this issue. It is important to know where your kids are and what they are up to. There really isn't much for teenagers to do out here so "trouble" seems to be it. Being alert and taking care of yourself and your neighbors is important. I'm lucky that our street/neighbors do this for each other but we can't be everywhere all the time. Parents need to be more responsible and aware of their kids activities.

Even when there IS stuff to do, the trouble makers are too"cool" to do it. The kids who aren't destroying property are finding things to do.

Face it, its not the neighborhoods fault, its no lack of recreation and its not even a lack of good parenting all the time. There will always be kids who chose to do crappy things or make a bad decision to join one if those jerky kids in their routine of jack assery, they become the adult jerks that we complain about at work and on the roads, and they, like roaches, will always be around...

    Bullseye!!

I've always felt this...Seems many of these troublemakers don't care about the consequences but their parents will one day when someone sticks them with the bill.

I plan on using this word in the future and just wanted to seek clarification as to whether this is a noun or more of a verb?
