I've been thwarted in my attempt to fix my daughter's brand new bike's brakes. I can't seem to be able to adjust the brakes so that it won't stick or cause excessive friction to the rim of the wheel.

Has anyone ever put together a bike from a store and been able to adjust the brakes without any problems? I've given up trying and my daughter wants to use her bike soon....

Any help or recommendations where to take the bike to for this problem would be MUCH appreciated....

    Thanks!

Hello. We've taken our bikes to Bicycle Outfitters (in Leesburg) a few times and have been pleased with their work.

When my kids where that age, they only used the foot brakes, we left the hand brakes loose.
