I still have some gasoline left in my gas can from last November (for my lawn mower).
How do you dispose of it? Does any of the gas stations around take it for disposal? Is there a special place to take it to?
I looked online and someone mentioned "stabil" - does anybody know what that is? how it works?

    Thanks.

I've poured old gas right into my old truck and it's never been a problem.

I had gas left for both the lawn mower and trimmer/blower (mixed with oil) and I used them again this year with no issues.

how much do you have? I'll take it off your hands, should work well in my power washer or old truck.

It will not be a problem to use "stale" gas in your regular vehicle from last November, although I would use a gallon at a time per fillup. Something like 10:1 new to old at least. Personally, I wouldn't try using it if it was older than 1 year.

Stabil is a commercial product used to prevent the breakdown of gasoline over time. It is commonly used by boaters, motorcyclists, and classic car owners who are storing a vehicle over the winter and want to protect the tank, fuel lines, and injectors/carbs from excessive varnishing caused by degrading gasoline. You can certainly use it in your lawn mower when you store it at the end of the season. But you have to use it when the vehicle is initially stored -- it will not restore old gas to like new condition.
It is readily available at any auto parts store or Walmart, and it only takes a few ounces each year to add to your vehicle, so for a lawn mower, a bottle should last you for 3-6 years.

Oh, and if you do add it, give it an hour or so before moving the vehicle into the garage, and don't run the vehicle inside the garage -- Stabil has a very strong kerosene-like smell, and the exhaust will permeate up through the garage into the house.

I think the 2-gal gas can is a third or a quarter full, so half-a-gallon, at least. If you live in Broadlands, I'll gladly bring it to you. It would be a big help to me.

    Thanks.
