no yard waste pickup today?

Hi,

It appears that Patriot didn't pick up yard waste today on our street (townhouses off of Village). Anyone else having this problem or know anything about what is going on?

There must of been a ton of it...they just got our street about 20 minutes ago - Broadlands North...

 

They picked up on our street around 6PM, sorry that they seemed to miss yours. Maybe they are still in the neighborhood?

Maybe you can call the HOA office tomorrow, I know that Patriot is pretty responsive to most inquires.

 

Well, it looks like I panicked a little too soon... They just picked it up.

This is second time that they didn't pick up yard waste on our street either (Hunters Green Sq) during the day. With all the rain we have had I don't like leaving it out all day long. Some folks hauled them back into their garages. Patriot didn't pick up until almost 9pm at night.
Maureen, what's up with Partiot? Why can't we get them picked up during the day?

 

As happens every spring, there is a tremendous amount of yard waste in April and May, especially if it has been a rainy spring. Just take a drive around the neighborhood on Sunday night and take note of all the bags that are curbside. There is only so much truck capacity. Once the truck is full it needs to be dumped and there is often a line at the facility to do that. Trash trucks can't just be added as needed, they need to work with the equipment thay have.They were in my neighborhood at 7am...so they are working a 14 hour day and just to be clear we pay the same amount whether they are done at 4 or have to work until 9.
