This is going to make that shopping center even more popluar. It's a nice place to go and spend an evening without having to leave the area. Lots of restaurant choices (Travinia's, Eggspectations, Noodles & Company, a very good Thai place, Finnegans, a Flamegrilled place, even Wegman's food court), a bowling alley/food place, more and more stores that actually draw people and people have heard of, etc.. Only downside is it will be much tougher finding parking along the street, though they do have a number of parking garages. I guess it has turned into what we all had hoped BTC would have been by now.

Don't forget Charming Charlies...and the Bowling Alley is expanding.

I was walking around up there on Tuesday and noticed that Plow and Hearth is going in on the corner opposite Cobb's. I've stopped at one of them in Madison, VA, but I think that may have been an outlet.

I saw that, too. Then as I was driving through the rest of the center I saw the real store down the row from the sign. Open.

There's a Plow and Hearth in Fairfax Corner as well. And the one in Madison is an outlet, but there's a store in Charlottesville too.

As I drove through the Leesburg shopping center I noticed that it's starting to seem fairly similar to Fairfax Corner in terms of overall feel and the types of businesses there.

I hope the movie theater is at full staff capacity today and this weekend and ready for the full Ashubrn area new business experience! Stampede!

We went and saw Harry Potter in D Box. Probably not worth the extra money for the D Box, we were happy we had reserved very comfortable seats, no line getting our snacks, and I did get some wontons. Took about 10 minutes to get them but they weren't bad. Sadly this is not Cobb's top of the line upscale movie theater but at least we get a bar and grill. I have been wondering for years why we didn't have that here. I thought for opening weekend they did a good job. I did note one couple was complaining and wanted a refund because the only seats left in their theater were front row and they didn't want to pay $10+ per ticket to sit like that. Not sure if they got there late or what.

A friend told me that when she and her spouse went to see a movie at the Brambleton theater they asked the ticket seller how many tickets were left. When the ticket seller told them there were only a handful, my friends chose not to purchase tickets since they knew the seats would be lousy.

I never thought to ask in advance before but it seems like a good idea in cases where you suspect you might be on the late end of ticket buying.
