I noticed a Coming Soon for a Pollo Peruvian Chicken in the Ashburn restaurant park where 5 Guys is located. I can't remember the exact name of it.

That plaza is a pain in the neck to get in and out of, but I suppose so are a great many others in the area.

Hope it's like the places I've had the pleasure of eating at in Rockville - El Pollo, Crisp & Juicy - birds hanging over the heat roasting away to perfection.

That was a favorite lunch getaway - 1/2 bird and that awesome sauce. <drool>

Last Saturday, I ordered carryout from Curry Club and on my way out, I saw that this place had just opened. Stopped by and got a half chicken to go. Food was very good and the price was right. Three entrees and two orders of Naan at Curry Club were $50. The half chicken at Pollo was like $7.50. Next time, I'm going to get one entree at Curry Club and use the chicken from here.

Word of warning, if you are expecting a sit-down restaurant experience, this place is not for you. For example, that first day they are still working out the kinks. There was no menu on the wall. They had paper menus but they were for the Sterling store. And they were only serving chicken that day. They were apologetic but I didn't care, I wanted chicken from a chicken carry-out place, no big deal, and that's what I got.

We got take-out last night from the Pollo Factory and it was delicious! We'll definitely be back.

Thanks for all the recs, we tried this the other night (carry out) and loved it. The green sauce with the chicken has a nice kick to it.

Brought back memories of Chicago and one of my favorite chicken grill places that was Greek - they gave you pitas with the chicken with this awesome red sauce. They would hack it with a cleaver so you sometimes got bits of bone but you didn't care because it was so good. I would put this in the same category.

Just tried it tonight and the chicken was great! I did call-ahead which helped, seems like the menu isn't as vast as the Sterling location but they may be starting out with the basics to get up and running in the Ashburn location. Thumbs up from the hubby which is a good sign!

I finally tried this place yesterday and the chicken was delicious. They only sell chicken (and sides) at the Ashburn location right now, but they do plan on serving the whole menu when they hire the right cook (according the to cashier).

they are doing a FANTASTIC job in Ashburn with their limited menu! we took home a chicken which they quartered upon request, black beans and rice. all delicious, fresh and flavorful. the green sauce had a wonderful zest and the staff while VERY busy and sometimes overwhelmed with the crowd- are friendly, hard working and give 110%! i am impressed and will continue to be a fan!

NO they are not clients- I am simply a pollo loving Ashburnite. :)
