From 9 am -12 pm this Saturday (November 12), both of the Cub Scout Packs in Broadlands will be knocking on doors collecting food. Hopefully you received a plastic bag last weekend. If you don't remember to leave something out, we'll be knocking on doors as well.

Each year Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts all over Loudoun County participate in Scouting for Food, a service program that helps feed those in need in our county.

In 2010, our Pack collected over 7,000 pounds from the generous people of Broadlands. Your tremendous generosity in such difficult economic times was appreciated and we are hoping again for a great turn out and a successful service campaign.

And another quick note... even if you didn't get a bag delivered to your front door, feel free to use any bag. A regular old Harris Teeter bag (or 2 or 3) will serve the need just fine.

    Thank you!

A big thanks out to everyone that donated food, I don't have a pound number to give but the participation was huge!

This photo shows the cargo van being loaded for the 2nd trip to the food banks.
