:nono:This morning when I was walking the dog I saw people's homes that had been vandalized lat night. These were all on Vestals Gap. The home next to the nature trail has had thier fence broken, a home a few doors up has their reindeer smashed and there are christmas lights stuffed in the street drain. This is starting to happen too frequently and the damage is starting to get very expensive. I remember last year a garage door that was smashed. This is not funny even at a small expense. When the damage is up in the several hundred dollar range, this is criminal.

Looking at the pattern of damage over the past few months from the mailboxes to last night, the kids live somewhere along the Glebe View, Vestals Gap, Chickakoan street area.

They need a safe place to run to after they do their damage.

i'm convinced that trail access is the key. since we put up a fence and overgrowth has made the trail harder to access we (knock wood) have been blessedly unattacked for some time.

it's a shame that kids with so much have so little respect for the propoerty of others.

I noticed that today when out walking....gosh - I was amazed at the damage to the Christmas decorations, very sad, those things cost money....it's getting so you can't have anything outside of any value. Are teenagers that bored???? I still think having a boys/girls club with a teen center would be a good thing to have, but guess that won't happen.

I think the kids in the neighborhood should realize that home surveillance systems are far more prevalent throughout the entire neighborhood and the outdoor cameras produce near crystal clear images - even with out a direct light source.

Too bad the Sheriffs office won't do any follow up if they "suspect" it might be a juvenile on the surveillance video (this happened in Brambleton).

Seems someone pulled up candy cane lights on middle ridge place and hung them from the trees on several yards.

I'm in Southern Walk and on 12/30 someone decided it would be funny to destroy our two reindeer. I can say they had balls because it happened while we were at home with the lights on.

Time for the security cameras to go up.

I found some candy cane lights in our bushes the other night. Anyone know who they belong to?

Could you send me a PM with some details. Trying to understand the context as this has not been what I have heard/seen in at least a few cases. For example there was the Lansdowne video posted by the Sheriff's office that netted a minor. We called a while back with kids (specifically stated "teens") looking in cars and they were there in a few minutes.
