Got some weird e-mails this morning suggesting that our branch here in Broadlands was now closed... and their corporate web site seems to confirm this. Say it ain't so?

    Re: Maggie Moos closed?

*sigh* When will Saul Centers get a clue and stop trying to rake anyone renting space there through the coals? That center has more 'empty space' than any other in the immediate area... The common reason you hear from departing businesses? "Rent is way too high"

I wish they (Saul Centers) would get their act together and stop forcing businesses to leave that center. It's really beginning to look like crap when you see all those empty spaces in there...

Nice! Now what do we do with our gift cards? GGGGRRRRR. That was a waste of Christmas money.

    Re: Maggie Moos closed?

If they are actually closing this store, there are other stores in the area, albeit not very close...

    http://www.maggiemoos.com/store-locator.aspx?country=us&state=&zipcode=20148

Call the store first to confirm if they are actually closing. We've had a few 'false alarms' on these forums in the past. That being said, the Broadlands store does NOT show up on the www.maggiemoos.com website anymore :(

    Hi this Maggie Moos,
We are sorry for the message that has come, and which has caused distress. Maggie is alive and well. We are just changing mangement. We are certainly OPEN for buisness. And everyones giftcards are still welcome and valid.

In near future, we will be upgrading the store and renovating for your convience and pleasure.

Thank you for the support you have given us all this while!

I'm glad to hear it's not closing.
My daughters LOVE getting ice cream and sitting at the fountain.

We've tried ice cream from Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbin and from the Cone Zone, but their favorite is by far Maggie Moos!

If the new owners read this: Please switch back to Cinnamoo and get rid of Cinnamoo bun. I used to eat at Maggie's all the time... then they switched it and the bun is just awful in comparison.

Glad Maggie Moos is sticking around. If I can put in a plug, their Pistashio is the best I've ever had.. but unfortunately they don't seem to carry it as much anymore.

Am just quite perplexed at why folks are posting on forums that a certain place is "closing" when it in fact isn't. That isn't doing these businesses any service and only creates frustration on the owners' part.

I wish folks would refrain from posting "closings" when it ain't confirmed for real.

I wish folks would read the original post carefully too and understand what a "?" looks like and means. This entire post was about clarifying a question and concern. The information received in an e-mail (by me), made it clear that the franchise was closing, which taken by itself was a concern and when the corporate web site was checked (by several people) our local franchise was not listed as a Maggie Moos franchise.

And for the record, next time I have a concern or question about a local business closing I will post it here again so sorry if you get perplexed....

Take it for what its worth and sorry if you completely missed the point....
