We've been several times since they opened and I tend to agree that standards are inconsistent. Our last visit, we ordered salads as appetizers and fish and chips.

The salads arrived, we barely had time to eat one mouthful when the entrees arrived. Talk about sending a message that they need the table!

Their fish and chips has become bland in my opinion. I really don't find that the chips have any flavor. I was a fan of this place, but must admit our patronage has slowed down.

this happened to us once and we sent the food back to the kitchen. they took it back, the manager came and apologized and they delivered hot fresh food with the PROPER timing after our salads were done. i could tell it wasn't the same old plates because it was piping hot and not nuked.

still really enjoy this place, but i don't typically go any place more than once or twice a month anymore... too many excellent chouces popping up!

First, I would like to wish all the dads out there a Happy Father's Day.

We just read the last comments from the Ford's Fish Shack thread and I want to thank you for the feedback about your recent experiences at Ford's. We take our guests opinions very seriously. I would hope that you will give us a chance to make it right with you TeamDonzi. Please contact us directly so we may be able to discuss your poor experience. We always try to correct our mistakes right on the spot, but sometimes an upset guest may slip out. Please always ask to speak to Tony, Ana, Wayne, or Steve. I can guarantee one of us will correct the problem immediately.

To Brit: I would also like you to contact us directly as I would like to get some additional feed back on the Fish and Chips, since they are our most popular entree and you have an "insider's" knowledge about fish and chips.

We normally do not post on Blogs about Ford's but we want to do whatever it takes to make our guests keep coming back. We value your business very much.

    Thank you
    Tony and Ana Stafford

We have really enjoyed our two trips to Ford's thus far. However, I will say that they need to SERIOUSLY work out the kinks in their holiday reservations. We waited 30 minutes beyond our reservation time on Sunday... and we got off easy. The people before us waited over an hour and another group left after waiting 40 minutes to go do something else.

    Again - LOVE THE FOOD.

Glad to see you guys are monitoring comments.

I stop by every couple of weeks to sit at the bar and get the "Real Deal Clams" -- whole belly fried clams. Early on, they were sometimes too salty, sometimes too gritty, and sometimes too tough. But they were good enough when they were good to keep me coming back.

Now, the last few times I've gone, they have been consistently spot on -- tender, light, melt in my mouth like I'm back in New England. You guys have worked through most of the kinks and I wish you the best of luck!

I love Ford's Fish Shack and recommend them to everyone, but last time we went my absolute favorite, the chopped salad, tasted pretty bad and I was so disappointed.

I've been a couple of times and really enjoyed the food. However, my main complaint is that the music is way too loud. You can't have a conversation without shouting. And it's because of this that I don't go very often. If I could go and relax, be able to talk to the friends at my table, I'd certainly go more often.

Went tonight with the 6 year old. Our first time there. I'm assuming they had their best chef on tonight, being a Friday, and wow, did I enjoy myself. I'm going to need to do about 6 hours of zumba to work this all off, but I HAD to try those Maine chips, with the gorgonzola, lobster, basil aioli. Oh man were they ridiculous!!!! Then I had the grilled lobster tail with corn on the cob (and fries which I didn't touch). WICKED YUMMY. The kid had the chicken strips and fries. He loved them, but of course it's pretty hard to mess that up. It took a lot of effort on my part to not scarf up the corn muffins, but I knew I had lots of food coming.

Service was good, place was pretty packed with a wait. I'm happy to see they're doing well, and while it was expensive enough that I couldn't afford to eat there regularly, I was pleased that I finally tried it. Will definitely go back.
