We had our Patriot issued trash can stolen last night from in front of our house. My wife heard kids laughing as they towed it away. If any of you have ended up with an extra trash can then please pm me. We are on Stone Hollow Drive. Thank you for the help.

That sucks, but what a weird thing to steal! I'll keep my eyes out on the trails too.

We had ours stolen a while ago, along with our neighbors', and I deeply regret I didn't report it to the police. We thought we'd find it hidden in the woody common area behind our house, or it would turn up again in a day or two. Turns out it costs $75 to get it replaced by Patriot, so we just went out and got a smaller one from Home Depot, and that was $60....

I can't believe that someone would steal a trash can. Silly kids I guess. I'll be making a call to Patriot shortly and I'll be making sure I don't put out the trash until the morning of pickup day. Grrrrrr.......

Geesh, did they take it full of garbage? If not, put it away next time and it won't get stolen.

I had a work event 5/30 and ended up getting home just past midnight, around 12:15am. As I'm driving up Ridgeway coming off of Stone Hollow, right at the top of the hill two trash cans were overturned in the middle of the road. I happened to notice a car with someone just getting into the back seat pulled off on Ridgeway just 15 feet away from the cans. I stopped my car and waited to see what the car was doing as I just felt that they were responsible for the cans overturned. I was able to get a brief description of the car before they pulled away. I called the non-emergency number and they sent someone out. As I continued my drive home further into the neighborhood, I saw a number of trash bins pulled off the curb and overturned into the road. So you were not the only victim. This seemed to have just happened and they probably started at midnight. I have a feeling the patrol cars moved all of the cans back to the side of the road after canvasing our area.

Very strange... our trash can is missing. It is stored behind the fence, hidden by bushes, so someone must have opened our fence, walking into the yard and taken the can. I should report this to the police?

I would. They might think the night of the 30th (or early morning hours of the 31st) were a one-time event. If you had your trash out for pickup yesterday then stored your bin away yesterday afternoon/evening, that means something happened again last night. I would also mention that a neighbor contacted the non-emergency line ~12:20am 5/31 so perhaps they can track the number of similar occurrences.

Actually, my husband told me that he had indeed put our trash out on Wednesday night. When I looked outside on Thursday morning at 7:00am it was not there. As we are on Highview Trail, it is highly likely that one of the cans you saw was ours so I'll report it and appreciate your comments here. Any guesses where the cans ended up? Any neighbors around here have an extra toter show up? I'd love to get it back rather than pay $75 for a replacement!

The car I saw (if indeed it was the culprits) was a 4 door sedan (older model 4 door toyota or similar make/model). I am not very good at identifying the type of a car in the dark, other than number of doors, suv vs. non-suv, etc. It was a darker color, like navy blue, darker green, etc. There is no way that car would fit a trash can. I have a feeling the bins were turned upright and pulled back to the side of the curb and I'm assuming whomever turned them upright had to guess where they went. I have a feeling a neighbor has it. There was also no way to tell if the overturned trash bins weren't hauled down the street then overturned, too hard to know which houses had already pulled their trash bins out that night and which ones had not. Appeared they made the loop of Ridgeway and half of Highview Trail between the two intersections of Ridgeway.
