Never tried Let's Dish before. Saw a deal for it today and seeing as we're suffering from some summer laziness mixed with a busy schedule, we're in a total food rut.

How does the food quality, cost and serving size compare with the cost? Does it taste better than the average pre-made meal you might get at Wegmans? Do they freeze well?

    Thanks for the feedback,
    Stephanie

I have done this a couple of times, and I have mixed emotions.

I go there more for the social aspect (I always do this with a friend!) than the food aspect.

Some times, my family likes the food and some times they don't. They offer unique selections, but sometimes I feel I can cook these meals for less at home. An example of what I mean: they have Cheddar Crunch Chicken. This is simply chicken tenders breaded in crushed-up Cheeze-Its. They have the same for a Tri-color Chicken Crunch. It is chicken breaded in crushed-up multi-color tortilla chips. But, then again, they have Hawaiian Luau Pork which is delicious and I couldn't make on my own.

The meals are made to freeze! I usually eat them right away, but I have a friend who freezes them for 6 months.

The cost is so-so. It's cheaper than eating out, but probably a little bit more expensive than just cooking at home. Each full meal serves 5-6 people (it comes with 6 chicken fillets or 6 fish fillets or one huge pork roast). If you split the meals, you can actually have it for a few times. So the cost then would be worth it (in my opinion).

Hope that helps a little. ;)

I like using their meals - the majority are made to freeze, and with our crazy schedules having a freezer stocked with "ready to go" meals makes a huge difference. I'm pretty picky about which meals I make there - I don't want to pay the premium for dishes that are just as easy to do at home.

What makes it worth it for us is that each of their "meals" is two full dinners for us (two adults, a 3yo and a 6yo), which brings the cost way down. (I split them in the store, so if I buy six "meals" I come home with 12 packages ready for the freezer.) We add a veggie, salad, and/or bread and I can put a nice meal on the table in 20-30 minutes, tops.

I've always wanted to try it, but just haven't. Knowing there is a deal might sway me to finally try. Which site is offering the deal?
