I know this is a long shot, but our cat, Tinker, got out last night (cul de sac of Highview Trail). She's an indoor only cat, but somehow got out last night. She's 100% black and about 1.5 yrs old. She does not have a collar on (she gets them off somehow), but she is microchipped. She's a rescue cat and generally could care less about people. She most likely won't come when called. She's a good kitty, but won't pay you any attention. If you happen to see her, please call 703-517-1103. Thanks in advance for the extra eyes.

I see one paw that is black. Are any of her other paws white, or is it just the spot on her neck that is white?

Also, as a public service announcement for those in the area, I also have a (neutered) male black long haired cat with no collar (he too keeps losing them!) who wanders this area. Many people know my cat and that he's mine, but for those who might not and just see a random cat, mine is larger (12 pounds, probably), male, and most definitely LONG hair. Lufti's cat looks smaller and is short haired.

Thanks. Tinker is all black, no white paws or anything. I think the white you see in the photo is the result of a bad picture taker and flash. Tinker is short haired and no more than 10 lbs. She's spayed as well. She was a rescue last August from the Loudoun shelter.

After closer look at the spot on her neck, it's actually the carpet from her scratching post.

Still no sign of Tinker, although someone close to the trail that is on Highview said they saw a black cat in their yard and run towards the woods. We're hoping she comes home soon!

Tinker came home!!!! Our au pair spotted her on the deck steps and then she went under the deck to hide. She looks healthy and is eating heartily!!!!!!!! Thanks to everyone who was looking for her. Hopefully she really was just doing her job on Friday the 13th!
