    Fellow Foodies--

Has anyone had an opportunity to check out the NEW Lotte's Plaza in Chantilly yet? Just curious. We enjoyed the store and excellent products and service.

    Thanks,

    Foodie;)

Maybe I will try to go this weekend. I have been dying to go and forgot when the opening was. I need to buy a big bag of rice. I looked at the online ad yesterday and some of the prices are WOW! The ad shows $.49 cents/lb for apples, Honeydew melons priced at 2 for $.99, and green onions 10/$.99. Good thing it shows pictures since I can't read Korean :)

Yes, their prices are good! By the way, if you look at Lotte's and Hmart's online weekly ads on their web sites, at the top of their weekly sales you will notice in the upper right corner a tab button for Korean or English languages. Just click on the appropriate language to see their ads in Korean or English language.

    Have fun--

    Foodie:)

I finally went to Lotte today and WOW, I was in produce heaven. The prices just can't be beat. Decent prices on seafood and meat too. The place is huge. I came out of there with 8 bags of groceries, a 20lb bag of Jasmine rice, and two gallons of milk for $52. Here are a few examples of prices (some are regular prices, and some sale prices of the week). Weekly sales run Fri-Thurs.

    $9.99 20lb of Jasmine rice
    $2.50 gallon milk
    $.89 doz XL eggs
    $.99/lb organic apples
    $.99lb several varieties of pears
    $.79/lb red delicious apples
$.69/lb tomatoes (when was the last time I spent less than $2/lb on tomatoes??)
    3/$.99 bunches of cilantro
$.99 2lb bag of yellow onions
$1.49 5lb bag of russet potatoes
2/$1 package mushrooms (these are usually 2/$4 ON SALE at the local store)
    3/$.99 sleeve of garlic
    $1.99/lb fresh shrimp
    $.79 bunch of spinach
    2/$1.48 organic tofu

Looks like I will be making regular trips to Lotte for groceries :)

Wowza! Lotte's has excellent prices on fruits and vegetable. I went there this afternoon and walked out with 6 bags for about $25. My fridge is stuffed! Spinach 3 bunches for a dollar, navel oranges 3/$1, grapefruit 20 cents, lemons 20 cents, pineapple $1.99, strawberies 99 cents a carton. There were fish swimming in the tanks. Lots of international foods. I will be going back. I wonder if the prices are always this good?

The manager of the Fantastic Sams in the Farmwell Hunt Plaza said that the shopping center management sent them a memo that a Lotte food store will be moving into the old Bloom location.

That's great..... Bloom location is proabably smaller to their standards.

    Bad luck for Global foods.
