I thought the lot across from Southernwalk plaza were for commercial space and not more residential? I see signs up advertising townhomes and condos. Not a big fan.

I'm not a big fan either, certainly there's a politician somewhere to thank for the over development of homes and the under development of schools. BWHS is 500 students over capacity this year and projected to be 1,000 over next year. So then, let's build more house. And the traffic... ah forget it.

I'm not a big fan, although I'm happy for the extra customers this will hopefully bring to all of the businesses in Broadlands Marketplace.

This area was rezoned to put in the residential, including senior housing. I think the commercial switched places with the original location of the residential (near St. Theresa's).

I think Anothai and American Flatbread were hoping for this residential to get built much sooner than now.

That stretch of land was planned for: daycare, a few commercial office buildings, and a church site.
Van Metre swapped around between this property and the property by St Theresa's.
The Southernwalk stretch will now have: daycare, 26 townhomes, senior residential complex (between 75-100 units).
