My 5 year old has decided she wants to stop gymnastics and take up dance again. We were going to Tutus and Tiaras in the Village but I think that's geared more towards younger girls. Would like a mix of ballet and jazz. Any suggestions nearby to Broadlands?

We've been at Creative Dance Center for 5 years and really like it. We just finished our 4 season participating in the studio's Nutcracker performance. My daughter loved the Princess Ballet class to start out with, but they also have a combined class for Ballet & Jazz.

We love Bella Ballerina in Brambleton. Very personable and not huge class sizes. We left Creative Dance Center because of the class sizes and after their debacle of a holiday recital last year we were done with it.

Tutus and Tiaras has a Prima class for 5-8 year olds. The owner (Kristen) said there are less (possibly none - not sure) games and more dance instruction at that level. She's also expanding into additional areas such as hip-hop. I believe she has a second instructor now.

My son has been going to CDC for hip hop dancing since he was 5. They have boys-only classes if he's interested in that.

Should have clarified that "CDC" = Creative Dance Center. They have classes in both Ashburn and South Riding.
