Samurai Sushi (Safeway plaza)

I just wanted to post quickly about this place as it doesn't get much press here. It may not be the BEST sushi or teriyaki or tempura around, but it is good, and WOW is it affordable. You get a ton of food in your lunch special which is priced around $8.00 depending on what you order. It would seriously feed two people.

If you are looking for a lot of food for not much money, and food that is good, although perhaps not award winning, give this spot a try.

we like the spicy teriyaki steak and salmon from there as well the shumi and tempura tuna rolls. Yum!

 

It has been our favorite, as well. Can't get enough. Could eat there every night if I could.

 

I also give it high marks, on both food and service.

 

Now its gonna get all crowded and I'll have to find another sushi standard.

Update. Have been to Samurai several times in the past year. It's still excellent.

Woo woo, I'm on the Samurai Sushi train...

 

Would love to find an excellent sushi bar locally but they don't appear to be very busy. Do they get decent crowds? How's their tuna and eel?

 

I've been to Passion Fin many times and my whole family loves it. We always sit at the sushi bar because we love watching them make our sushi. They are always very busy and the fish is very fresh.

Depends on the night. There have been some nights I can't find a table or that take out is 45-60 mins. And other nights it's not busy at all. Our sushi last night was SOOO fresh! Yum!
