Boarding - I use Old Mill in Leesburg. Decide you want someone to come and stay - use Woofies!

We use Shadow's Retreat. Not fancy, but our dogs have always come back happy.

For 25 pounds and under the drive to Top Dog Resort in Catlett is worth it!

I second Redon's vote for Woofie's petsitting service! My doggies get to stay in my home and a wonderful sitter comes in up to 3x a day to walk them, feed them, and give them TLC. No worries about my pooches catching kennel cough or sleeping on a cold cement floor. Give Leslie or Amy a call at (571) 426-6503!

Thanks for the recommendation on Woofie's, but we would prefer that someone not come to our home.

We have used Seneca Hill Animal Hospital Resort and Spa on a number of occasions. Most recently our lab was there Dec 23 - 26. Clean facility. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

A number of our neighbors have recommended Old Mill. It looks nice. I'm not sure how the play time works. I'd probably get stuck paying for 4 sessions per day for my young active lab.

Your dog could also stay in a pet sitters home with woofies.

We use Woofies (boarding with a sitter, not at our house - my god they are wonderful). We've also used Ivandale Farms. Ivandale is great, and you don't have to pay for every exercise session. Each dog has its own "room", no cages, very clean, lots of land to run and play. Books up quick so get in there quick.

I took a look at Old Mill and backed right off, the idea that my dog has to poop and pee on concrete (completely reversing all training instilled in her) just didn't do it for me. Plus there is no outdoors/yard/exercise time unless you pay for it. It felt like prison to me. ;-)

Thank you for all recommendations! Ivandale is closed the month of February every year; we are touring Olde Towne on Sunday! :)

Howl of a Good Time in Leesburg. They are very similar to Ivandale Farms. Lots of land, no cages, he only takes a few dogs at a time. Good luck!

Thanks again to everyone! We toured and reserved Old Towne for our furry friend! Will let you know at the end of Feb how it went. Their facility is very clean and the pups we saw seemed happy! TV's and webcam for the 5 star suites...better than what most of us sleep in while away :)

We've used Old Towne twice, and have been happy with them both times. We got a written report of how Ginger did, and the webcams were great. We liked the rooms the dogs are kept in, and the ability to let Ginger play in the doggie day care. She had a great experience and was happy to go back the second time, so she obviously wasn't unhappy there :)
