    Hi!

My husband and I (and our dog Cali, woof-woof!) just moved to the Broadlands from Washington D.C. and I was looking for recommendations of a good dermatologist and physical therapist in the area.

On a side note, my husband and I are also expecting our first child in June and I would love to meet other young/expectant moms in the area, as all of our friends still live in Washington D.C. and we know no one in this area!

I know there is a moms group but are there any playgroups I could join as well?

Any suggestions would be appreicated! So far we really like the area and are looking forward to getting to know our neighbors.

    ~ Kimberly

A great resource for mom/parent groups in the area is: www.dullesmoms.com
(I like their updated list of events, calendars etc...it's been a valuable resource for our family)

Depending on your need for PT, I would recommend the PT via the Center for Advanced Orthopedic & Pain Mgmt (Dr. Cook is great). The PT therapist I see is Todd Burnett and he is fantastic. Here is their website: http://www.advancedorthopain.com/

Sorry I don't have a recommendation for a Dermatologist but I am sure other users on this forum will provide you with a few.

We use Semler Dermatology over in Lansdowne and have been satisfied. As a family we've had them treat everything from a wart to a basal cell skin cancer.

I don't know where you're planning to deliver, but after I had our first at Loudoun Hospital I went to their new moms' support group and made great friends there - a dozen of us that are still in touch and get together as often as we can 7+ years later. (Some of actually met in the childbirth prep classes before we delivered.)

    Welcome to the neighborhood!
